  1. Jon. I can’t wait for this book. Great project. Will you have it ready and for sale on the Cruise in April?

    • simon robinson says:

We hope to have more details by then certainly, and maybe some samples and leaflets, but the book itself will not be printed in time for the trip.

  2. George German says:

Are you looking for memorabilia for your book? I might be able to help out.

  3. John Payne says:

Looking good and there is the makeup kit, today he would have a lot more to work with!

    • simon robinson says:

Today he would have a team of make-up artists on the road to do it for him I expect! I wonder if he used a sketch or something to remind him, or just went from memory each night?

  4. Tim D says:

Looks great, really hope it includes the definitive Lamb tour dates. No one seems to be able to agree on some of the dates listed. Look forward to more info!

    • simon robinson says:

We’re working on this Tim with the help of fans round the world. Certainly with any band touring at that time, nobody kept proper records, everyone was too busy just trying to get through the tour. I know from researching other groups that dates soon pass into legend, or are dismissed as never happening (only for someone to email 40 years on and say they went, and here’s an advert from the local paper).

  5. LuisC says:

Great samples. I would like to send some photos and info about the two Cascais shows 6 & 7 March 1975 but I can`t find any email address.

  6. Fran Roldán says:

I have some old Spanish magazines, drop me an email if you want some scans!

  7. Bob says:

    When is it coming out?

    • simon robinson says:

We will be updating the site regularly and as soon as we have a final production schedule will let people know. Very keen to avoid pissing people off by announcing a date and then being late!

  8. Lynn gill says:

Genesis – theme music of my life. From the first time I saw them in 1975 to present – love them. Can’t wait for the book.

  9. Anthony says:

    Looking forward to this.

  10. AGN says:

Looking forward to this as well!

  11. Don Burnett says:

I have a copy of the tour programme (dates include Edinburgh, England) either a mistake or someones stupidity, also have a ticket from the show at The Usher Hall. Date was played much later to let Steve Hackett’s hand heal after he crushed a wine glass and badly injured himself.

  12. Tim Darbyshire says:

This is a different project to Robert Ellis’ Lamb book? Saw your flyer on Cruise To The Edge 2014 – any updates? Thanks Tim

  13. benjleon says:

  14. Ben says:

I look forward to ordering the new Genesis book when it comes out.

  15. John Alderson says:

    Can’t wait for the book!!!

  16. benjleon says:

Any news about the book release ? CAN’T WAIT 🙂

  17. Ezra says:

I have a photo of a newspaper article showing how to do Raels make up step by step from the New musical express 1975 if you dont have
    a copy of it.

  18. peki says:

How do you order a copy?

    • simon robinson says:

Orders are not open just yet Peki; if you join our subscriber list you will get the news when we go live.

  19. Frank Haans says:

Looks great, sadly missed the original show in 1975 because my parents didn’t let me go. I saw Genesis first in 1978. But when the Musical Box from Canada started playing the Lamb lies down I saw their amazing reproduction of the iconic show twice! Marvelous! They had all the original diaprojections, costumes and gear! Superbe!

    • simon robinson says:

I’ve not seen The Musical Box; I was sort of worried it might water down what memories I had of the original show! But it does look good.

  20. Stuart Holmes says:

This looks amazing, such a labour of love – cant wait to order my copy!
